Our programme is a unique joint initiative with the GB Rowing Team ‘Start’ Programme and Gloucester Rowing Club, aimed at identifying and developing the next generation of Olympic rowers.
Athletes and coaches at Hartpury benefit from excellent land-based training facilities alongside water-based training at Gloucester Rowing Club’s new £1.6million boathouse, and access to support via British Rowing’s World Class Start talent identification programme.
We have an outstanding track record of developing rowers, as well as preparing them for a career beyond their sport. Our students have represented Great Britain at junior and U23 level. And our alumni have raced for their country at under U23 and Senior World Championships. Our crews have enjoyed domestic success with national title wins at Henley Royal Regatta, National Schools, and the British Championships.
You’ll learn from some of the best coaches at Hartpury. We’ll support you to achieve excellence in your academic studies and your rowing. We design your timetable with you in mind, meaning you'll get the best from your qualification and your training. As well as weekly sessions from dedicated coaches, you’ll have opportunities to compete at the highest levels of university sport.
